A-Z: AA.VV. - WORKING MAN

Nel 1996 la band canadese dei Rush, attiva fin dagli anni settanta e tassello importante della musica progressiva, viene giustamente omaggiata da celebri colleghi nell'album tributo che porta il titolo Working man, pezzo che chiudeva proprio il primo album dei Rush. Nell'album sono incise le prove dei maggiori alfieri del Prog-Metal moderno e non solo che si cimentano con i brani del trio canadese. Qui vi propongo due estratti dal CD. Il primo, Anthem, è un pezzo dal piglio più diretto. Alla voce Mark Slaughter, cantante degli omonimi Slaughter. George Lynch (Dokken e Lynch Mob) alla chitarra solista e James Murphy (ha militato in un sacco di band metal oriented) alla ritmica. Dietro le pelli Deen Castronovo (Steve Vai, Journey, Paul Rodgers) e Stuart Hamm al basso.
